Development Manager
Reports to:

Compensation:
Salary range $80,000-$95,000, commensurate with experience. Benefits include 10 vacation days, 15 annual holidays, 6 sick days, 4 personal days, employer contribution toward health, dental, and vision insurance, and a 401(k) option.
Time commitment:
Monday thru Friday, 9am to 5pm, with occasional evenings and weekends to support events and networking opportunities. This is a primarily in-person, on-site role, reflecting the community and relationship driven nature of the work.

Since 1996, Aisling Irish Community & Cultural Center has been a home base for the Irish and Irish-American community in Yonkers and Woodlawn supporting new immigrants, connecting generations through cultural programming, and serving seniors and youth alike. The Development Manager will play a central role in keeping that mission funded and growing, overseeing and driving all fundraising activities for the organization.
This role manages and grows a diverse portfolio of funders, donors, and fundraising initiatives, and is responsible for building new revenue pipelines in line with organizational goals.

Strategy & Goal Setting- Partner with the Executive Director to set annual fundraising objectives, establish clear metrics and targets, and design and execute strategic development plans to achieve revenue goals.
- Identify and develop new fundraising pipelines and revenue streams to diversify and grow the organization's funding base.
- Identify and evaluate new grant opportunities; oversee the full grant cycle including timely submission of proposals, program budgets, and impact reports.
- Monitor active grant cycles, track deliverables, and ensure full compliance with grant and funder requirements, including those from NY State and local agencies, private foundations, corporate funders, and Ireland's Emigrant Support Programme (ESP).
- Manage the growth and success of the annual Aisling Fund Campaign.
- Drive donor acquisition and outreach: cultivate relationships with new and existing donors, promote networking initiatives, and expand the organization's donor base.
- Oversee management of the donor database (Bloomerang) and maintain accurate fundraising statistics and reporting.
- Ensure funders and donors are accurately and consistently acknowledged and recognized across event materials, program communications, and organizational publications, coordinating with the Events and Cultural Officer and program staff as needed.
- Set strategic direction and fundraising goals for events, partnering with the Events and Cultural Officer on day-to-day event execution.
Required
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience, and 3+ years of relevant fundraising or development experience in a full-time staff role.
- Demonstrated experience with media relations and donor cultivation.
- Demonstrated experience with state and local grant agencies and platforms.
- Demonstrated experience with private foundation and/or corporate grant funding.
- Demonstrated experience working with fundraising software, project management tools, and CRMs.
- Demonstrated experience developing new fundraising pipelines and strategies, as well as managing and growing existing donor portfolios.
- Strong management and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to take initiative, collaborate effectively across teams, and drive projects forward independently.
- Experience raising funds, managing budgets, and building donor relationships for a small grassroots or community-based social service organization with an annual operating budget ofat least $1 million.
- Experience with Ireland's Emigrant Support Programme (ESP) or similar international/government-to-diaspora grant funding.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Bloomerang or a similar CRM, and the New York Statewide Financial System (SFS).
- Comfort using AI tools for first drafts of donor communications, content, or prospect research.
- Experience with or understanding of Irish culture, and an interest in supporting the Irish diaspora in the Yonkers/Woodlawn area of New York.
