PositionDescription
The new rheumatology nurse practitioner or physician assistant will work in a collaborative, dynamic environment with an integrated, multi‑disciplinary care team.
Providers are supported by highly‑trained clinical assistants and on‑site management in comfortable, modern settings. This includes scribes and staff to perform clinical administrative tasks, ensuring providers are able to focus solely on patient care.
Duties- Review patient histories
- Perform physical examinations
- Consult with patients and physicians to determine courses of treatment
- Provide treatments and care plans
- Communicate effectively with the clinical team to ensure total delivery of quality care
Providers see a variable number of patients per day, based upon patient needs and types of appointments scheduled. Volume is always kept at a reasonable level to ensure physician and patient satisfaction.
The office uses the Athena Health EHR.
Requirements- New York NP or PA license
- DEA
- 1+ year advanced practice rheumatology experience
