Nurse Practitioner – This Is Not a Background Role
You didn’t become a Nurse Practitioner to blend in. You did it to lead, to think, to act, and to change outcomes in real time. This role is for an NP who wants autonomy, impact, and purpose—someone who thrives where clinical expertise meets human connection.
What Makes This Role Different- You practice at the top of your license, working with people with developmental disabilities
- Your clinical judgment is trusted and valued
- You're part of a team that moves fast, thinks boldly, and cares deeply
- Every day brings variety, challenge, and moments that remind you why you chose this profession
- Delivering high-quality, person-centered care
- Assessing, diagnosing, treating, and educating with confidence
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams who respect your expertise
- Making real decisions that lead to real outcomes
This is hands-on, high-impact work. It’s demanding, energizing, and deeply rewarding. Some days are intense. Some days are inspiring. None are boring.
Who Thrives Here- Nurse Practitioners who want meaning, not monotony
- Clinicians who bring confidence, curiosity, and heart
- Professionals who want their work to feel alive
If you’re ready for a role that feels important, energizing, and worth showing up for, this is your moment.
QualificationsWhat you'll bring
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license with experience in developmental disabilities or related fields.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a multi-disciplinary team.
- Knowledge of clinical protocols and medical best practices for individuals with developmental, intellectual, and behavioral challenges.
- Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program, with a preference for a concentration in Family Practice or Rehabilitation Nursing.
- Current Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in New York State, with certification through ANCC or AANP.
- Must hold valid certifications in CPR, Infection Control, and DEA.
- At least one year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and e-prescribing platforms.
- Competitive Pay – Your expertise is valued and rewarded
- Medical, Dental & Vision Coverage – Because your health matters too
- Life & Disability Insurance – Peace of mind for whatever life brings
- Tuition Reimbursement – Keep learning, growing, and leveling up
- Generous PTO & Paid Holidays – Real time off to rest, reset, and recharge
- Paid Training & Referral Bonuses – We invest in you and reward great people who bring great people
- Retirement Contributions – We’re invested in your future, not just your present
- Join us in empowering lives and helping create a future full of possibilities.
