Retail Associate Store Manager - Head of Visual Merchandising & Product

At L.L.Bean, we believe the outdoors brings out the best in all of us. The Retail Associate Store Manager will lead Visual Merchandising for our Ridge Hill store located in Yonkers, NY.

This role brings the L.L.Bean brand to life through compelling merchandise presentations and visual execution across the entire store. The Associate Store Manager of Visual Merchandising will drive department performance through quick reaction to business performance, ensure delivery of the legendary L.L.Bean customer experience for an outdoor lifestyle concept retail store, and promote the company's core values of Outdoor Heritage, Integrity, Service, Respect, Perseverance and Safe and Healthy Living to uphold the brand, culture, and mission of L.L.Bean.

Store Sales Volume: $4‑6 million.

• Deliver legendary world‑class customer service.
• Execute operational procedures in the store following known SOPs.
• Lead price changes, replenishment, floor set changes, and visual, promotional and marketing initiatives.
• Oversee execution of multi‑channel services to ensure top‑notch customer service.
• Recommend hiring plans and strategies.
• Recruit, hire, train and develop talent for the store.
• Address employee issues/conflicts and provide feedback, coaching and developmental opportunities.
• Lead and execute compliance with Loss Prevention policies and procedures.

The anticipated base pay for this position is between $65,100 – $80,000 annually. Individual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, skills, competencies, and proficiency.

• Associate’s degree or equivalent with at least 3+ years of retail management experience.
• Visual leadership experience with an apparel retailer.
• Experience in all aspects of retail leadership, service, operations, floor sets and visual merchandising.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to achieve sales and service goals.
• Proven leadership skills with the capability of developing and motivating employees.
• Established time‑management and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Capable of building strong partnerships and working collaboratively to achieve goals.
• Ability to maintain a high level of enthusiasm, motivation and a positive attitude.
• Flexible to work nights, weekends and holidays.
