As a Security Officer Full Time Performance Center Patrol in New York, NY
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a premier cultural institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming experience for guests, staff, and performers. You will communicate professionally, respond to security-related concerns, and contribute to a respectful environment.

What You'll Do:

• Provide exceptional customer service to guests, patrons, artists, staff, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities at a performing arts venue.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout public spaces, backstage areas, entrances, loading areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas; verify credentials as directed; and assist with visitor screening, way finding, and crowd-flow support during performances and special events.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Document observations, incidents, and security-related activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
