Electrician
A large electrical contractor is seeking multiple licensed electricians to support ongoing projects throughout Fairfield County. You will perform a wide range of electrical tasks on active construction sites, using your trade skills, certifications, and strong work ethic to deliver high-quality results while collaborating closely with diverse teams.
Responsibilities- Perform electrical installation, maintenance, and repair work on construction projects throughout Fairfield County in accordance with applicable codes and safety standards.
- Use hand tools and trade-specific equipment to complete wiring, fixtures, and other electrical components accurately and efficiently.
- Follow OSHA 10 safety guidelines and site-specific safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and others.
- Collaborate effectively with a variety of personalities on construction sites, communicating clearly and professionally with coworkers and supervisors.
- Report to the site lead or foreperson, receive direction, and execute tasks as assigned while maintaining high productivity and workmanship.
- Accept constructive feedback, ask questions when needed, and actively work to improve skills and performance in areas of development.
- Maintain a consistent work ethic and sense of urgency ("hustle") to ensure project deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Arrive on time for scheduled shifts and adhere to designated working hours, adjusting to different start times depending on the job site.
- Comply with company policies and procedures, including safety, attendance, and conduct expectations on every job site.
- Valid E1 or E2 electrician license or equivalent electrical certification.
- OSHA 10 certification and practical understanding of construction site safety practices.
- Proficiency in using standard electrical hand tools on active construction projects.
- Ability to work effectively with all kinds of personalities on a construction site and maintain positive working relationships.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to put in consistent effort.
- Openness to feedback and readiness to ask questions to clarify tasks and improve performance.
Skills & Qualifications
- Formal education or training related to electrical work, supported by an E1 or E2 certification.
- Experience working on commercial or large-scale construction sites.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to different job sites and supervisors while maintaining consistent performance.
- Comfort working under the guidance of a straightforward supervisor who provides clear direction and constructive feedback.

WorkEnvironment
This role is based on active construction sites throughout Fairfield County, working with a large electrical contractor on a variety of projects. Standard hours are Monday through Friday, typically 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM or 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, depending on the job site. You will work under a straightforward supervisor who provides clear expectations and is willing to support your development if you are lacking in certain areas, provided you remain open to feedback and willing to ask questions.
The environment is fast-paced and safety-focused, with OSHA 10 standards in place and regular use of hand tools and other electrical equipment. The culture emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and mutual support, creating a stable and consistent work setting with full-time hours.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Yonkers, NY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $45.00/hr.
