Lead​/Senior Low-Voltage Systems Technician

For the tech position, we’re looking for someone who can come in as a Lead / Senior Low-Voltage Systems Technician and work independently while also guiding less-experienced technicians.

The ideal candidate should have:

• 7+ years of low-voltage/security systems experience
  ; 10+ years is preferred.
• Strong experience with CCTV/IP cameras, access control, burglar alarms, fire alarm systems, structured cabling, and networking
  .
• Ability to install, program, test, troubleshoot, and service systems, not just pull cable.
• Ability to read scopes, drawings, wiring diagrams, and understand how a complete system should be installed.
• Experience terminating and testing Cat6/network cabling
  , installing racks, devices, panels, power supplies, and related equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose problems without needing constant supervision.
• Ability to lead a crew
  , assign tasks, keep a project organized, and make sure work is completed correctly.
• Professional communication with customers, project managers, and the Broad Shield office.
• Must take pride in clean, organized installations and quality workmanship.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and comfortable working on commercial job sites.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Must be willing to travel to job sites throughout the NY metro area and occasionally out of state.
• Comfortable with occasional after-hours, overnight, or emergency work when projects require it.
• OSHA, NICET, FDNY certifications, manufacturer certifications, or similar credentials are a plus
  , but the strongest priority is proven field experience and technical ability.
• Most importantly, we are not looking for someone who only knows one discipline or only knows basic installation
  . We want someone experienced enough to take ownership of a job, troubleshoot issues, make good decisions in the field, and help lead the rest of the technicians.
