Front End Developer
Responsibilities
You will work directly with our government customers and with other GDIT developers and business analysts to create advanced software tools tailored to scientific applications. You’ll apply new approaches, principles, methods, techniques and tools compatible with the research environment within EPA.
The Front End Engineer will support the design, development, programming, testing, and maintenance of multiple front-end applications that access chemical, exposure, ecology, and biology data. These applications will be enabled by backend services in the form of APIs and microservices, ensuring flexibility and scalability. You will collaborate with Product Owners, Subject Matter Experts, Enterprise Architects, and developers to develop dynamic web applications using a fit‑for‑purpose technology stack.
You will refactor existing applications and develop prototypes into optimized, modular components for integration into new and existing applications. You will document design and implementation techniques in Atlassian’s Confluence. You will support automated integration, system, security, user acceptance, and regression testing to deliver robust application performance.

Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science - Experience:
0 years of related experience - Technical skills:
JavaScript, Vue/React, Next.js; a minimum of Vue and Nuxt experience on personal project is highly desired. - Interest in a specific technology or framework, even if no professional experience, is highly desired.
- Security clearance level: must be able to obtain EPA Public Trust Level4
- Citizenship: U.S. citizenship required

Salary range: $62,962 – $80,500 (variable based on experience, location and contractual requirements).
