Celtic Building Supplies, a business servicing construction companies, architects, contractors, engineers, and homebuilding in the tri-state area for over 20 years with all their building material, safety, and project needs, is seeking to hire a Dispatcher with knowledge of commercial driving routes.

General
Purpose:
Responsible for dispatching and routing of all daily outbound deliveries made to customer sites, purchase order pick-ups at vendor sites, and other delivery tasks as needed. Oversee, dispatch, and prioritize the daily schedule of deliveries and personnel. This is a full‑time position with varying shifts any time between 7 am and 7 pm. The starting hourly rate is between $21‑$23 an hour.
Job Tasks & Responsibilities
- Responsible for the accuracy and timely entry of the daily master tracking log of all drivers, deliveries, return merchandise authorizations (RMAs), returns to vendors (RTVs), Will Calls and paperwork from the field to the Finance department.
- Identify priorities, utilize available resources effectively to meet or anticipate change and/or problems and reallocate resources when necessary.
- Must exercise initiative, judgement, discretion, and good decision making.
- Assist warehouse with loading and pick ticket organization as needed.
- Maintain a neat and orderly work area.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Basic knowledge of Building Materials and the five boroughs. CDL a plus.
- 1 year(s) experience in Dispatching and Routing or 1-2 years delivery driver experience.
- Must have knowledge of commercial driving routes.
- Mid-level computer skills.
