Drivers are expected to load/unload freight using dock tools (certified employees), and assist with freight handling when required.
Qualifications & Skills- Minimum two years of verifiable interstate driving experience or one year plus approved driving school diploma.
- Must pass a driving test and hold a valid driver’s license with Hazardous Materials and Tank endorsements (or obtain within 90 days).
- Clean driving record with no recent license suspensions, revocations, or major violations (e.g., DUI, reckless driving, hit and run).
- Must pass DOT physical, pre-employment drug screen, and consent to background checks including FMCSA Clearinghouse registration.
- Demonstrate a stable work history, dependability, positive attitude, and support safety policies such as driver-facing recorders.
- Operate tractor/trailer safely, adhering to federal, state, and local regulations.
- Perform vehicle inspections and secure freight properly.
- Assist with loading/unloading freight when necessary.
- Maintain accurate logs and compliance documentation.
- Follow safety protocols, including handling hazardous materials and participating in safety screenings.
