6am-2:30pm Mon-Fri
The CNC Operator is responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to produce precision components according to specifications. The role requires technical skill, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of machining processes and quality standards. The operator plays a critical role in maintaining production flow and ensuring final products meet required tolerances and customer expectations.
Machine Operation & Setup- Operate and monitor CNC machinery (e.g., Mills, lathes, Drills) for production runs
- Adjust machine settings and tool offsets as necessary to maintain part quality
- Perform basic troubleshooting of machines and elevate technical issues when needed
- Inspect finished parts using precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions to verify part specifications
- Ensure all parts produced meet strict dimensional and visual standards
- Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning to ensure optimal operation
- Accurately complete work orders, inspection records, and production reports
- Follow all safety procedures and report unsafe conditions immediately
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding production status
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts to process efficiency and product quality
- Support other departments or production areas as needed
- Perform other duties to support business needs
- 1+ years of CNC machine operation experience preferred
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints
- Basic knowledge of machining processes and materials
Ability to use precision measuring tools - Good math, mechanical aptitude, and problem-solving skills
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Dependable, with a strong sense of urgency and pride in workmanship
- Team player with strong communication and collaboration skills
- Eagerness to learn and continuously improve
- Focused, safety-conscious, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be reliable and punctual with consistent on-site attendance
- Comfortable working around machinery, tools, and in a shop environment
