Kele Industrial is seeking a technically skilled and sales-driven Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) Specialist to lead the growth of VFD solutions nationwide. This role combines strong electrical engineering expertise with proven sales experience to drive revenue, provide technical support, and enhance customer satisfaction. The VFD Specialist will partner closely with Account Managers, customers, and manufacturers to deliver value-added solutions, manage the sales pipeline, and ensure best-in-class technical support across all territories.
EssentialResponsibilities Sales Growth & Strategy
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to expand the company’s VFD product presence across key markets.
- Partner with Account Managers to identify high-potential opportunities and build compelling proposals.
- Conduct joint customer visits to present VFD solutions, address technical challenges, and close sales.
- Monitor industry trends, customer applications, and competitive products to refine sales tactics and maximize market penetration.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for all VFD products, providing application guidance and technical support to customers and the sales team.
- Assist with drive selection, system integration, and troubleshooting during both pre-sale and post-sale stages.
- Deliver product demonstrations, presentations, and training sessions for customers and internal stakeholders.
- Support system start-ups and commissioning activities as needed to ensure successful implementation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their operational needs and aligning solutions accordingly.
- Provide responsive technical support to ensure customer satisfaction and long‑term loyalty.
- Collaborate with the broader sales force to identify cross‑selling opportunities within automation and control product lines.
- Serve as the primary liaison with VFD manufacturers to coordinate pricing, product updates, and technical support.
- Partner with manufacturers on joint customer visits, training events, and strategic growth initiatives.
- Communicate market feedback and product improvement opportunities to manufacturer partners.
- Manage the VFD sales pipeline from lead generation through project completion, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting in CRM systems.
- Track and report key metrics, including sales performance, opportunity conversion, and customer engagement.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance sales efficiency and technical responsiveness.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical sales or application engineering within the electrical, automation, or industrial controls industry.
- Strong understanding of Variable Frequency Drives, motor control theory, and power systems.
- Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, customer‑focused solutions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Epicor) and Microsoft Office tools.
- Experience working directly with VFD manufacturers or distributors.
- Hands‑on experience with drive programming, commissioning, and field service.
- Familiarity with automation components such as PLCs, HMIs, and related control products.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver effective training to sales teams or customers.
