Accounting Specialist

Overview

We are looking for the best, highly skilled Staff Accountant to join the team of our exceptional client. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role within a growing, multi-entity organization and is ideal for someone who enjoys owning core accounting functions while contributing to systems and process improvements.

• Manage day-to-day Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) activities.
• Assist with collections and customer payment follow-up.
• Prepare and post journal entries and perform account reconciliations.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Assist with payroll processing and payroll-related administration.
• Help consolidate and standardize accounting and payroll processes across multiple entities.
• Participate in the rollout, adoption, and ongoing optimization of new accounting and operational software.
• Identify process gaps and proactively suggest improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Work collaboratively with finance and operations teams in a fast-paced, growing environment.

• Strong foundational knowledge of accounting principles.
• Hands-on experience with AP, AR, and general ledger accounting.
• The ability to work independently and manage priorities with minimal oversight.
• Comfort learning, adopting, and working within new systems and software.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
• Proficiency with Quick Books, Excel, and Microsoft 365.

• Experience supporting a multi-entity or rapidly growing organization.
• Exposure to , ADP, or payroll/PEO environments.
• Prior involvement in a system implementation or software rollout.
• Experience in operationally complex or service-based businesses.
