We are seeking a warm, patient, and energetic individual to join our team as a Part‑Time Cafe and Recess Monitor for the upcoming school year. This is a crucial role that helps ensure the safety and well‑being of our students during lunch and recess. The ideal candidate will be a kind and engaging presence who is able to actively support the social and emotional needs of children in both structured and unstructured environments.

• Supervise students ages 7‑10 in the cafeteria and on the playground during recess.
• Work collaboratively with a team of four other adults to support a student body of approximately 310 students.
• Actively engage with students, fostering positive social interactions and conflict resolution.
• Address the social needs of students in a compassionate and proactive manner.
• Assist in maintaining a safe and orderly environment.

This is a school‑year position, starting on August 31, 2026, and ending on or after June 15, 2027, depending on the school calendar and any potential snow days.

• Experience working with children, preferably in an elementary school setting.
• Ability to work effectively with students of diverse backgrounds and needs.
• A compassionate and patient demeanor.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work as part of a team.
• The ability to be an active and engaging presence with students on a daily basis.
• Be able to stand for an extended time.
