Functions as technical specialist. Supervise multi‑discipline engineering staff on projects of medium to high complexity, and/or recognised as a key reference for technical guidance through depth and breadth of knowledge. Has influence for scope of responsibilities within the organization.

As part of BV Operations, your skills will be aligned to projects that support our three market sectors – Governments & Environment, Energy & Process Industries, and Connectivity & Commercial. Roles include Engineers, Technicians and Skilled Specialists, engaging with projects across the globe, from small community improvements to grand‑scale Mega Projects.

• Provide technical leadership for OHTL (including EHV 345kV–765kV) by maintaining standards, ensuring compliance, and serving as SME for complex projects.
• Champion a culture of innovation by supporting emerging trends, advancing tools and contributing to cross‑functional initiatives that turn concepts into impactful solutions.
• Support project execution with risk mitigation and constructability insights.
• Develop talent via training and mentorship, while representing the company in industry standards committees.
• Apply knowledge and ensure compliance with B&V quality program, establishing related processes and promoting a culture conducive to quality, continuous improvement, change management and risk management efforts.
• Lead preparation of complex engineering deliverables, including advanced research, calculations, data management and innovative technical solutions across multiple or large‑scale projects.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, quality requirements, and coordinate extensively with internal and external teams while often defining project schedules.
• Identify key client interests, ensure they are communicated and integrated into project execution, and support business development by anticipating future client needs.
• Provide leadership through performance management, career development, workforce planning and mentoring, including developing successors and guiding lower‑ and mid‑level professionals.

Supervises work of others; responsible for hiring, discipline and pay administration of subordinates.

• Strong experience in 69kV to 500kV overhead transmission line design and working knowledge or expertise in Power Line system based programs (e.g., PLS, PLS‑CADD, PLS‑POLE).
• Advanced knowledge of engineering design principles and applicable design guides and standards related to assigned engineering discipline.
• Previous client interaction experience with solid relationship‑building abilities in pursuit of business opportunities.
• Experience with the design of utility‑scale electrical transmission systems.
• Structural design of transmission steel structures and their foundations.
• Basic structural steel and concrete experience using 3D analysis and design software.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited program or equivalent experience in engineering work.
• Minimum of 11 years related work experience.

• Active engineering registration or licensure to support engineer of record (EOR) requirements for BV projects in applicable countries.
