At QISG, our Transmission Line teams work on the safe, reliable, and efficient delivery of power across communities and regions. We design, build, maintain and upgrade high-voltage transmission infrastructure that supports the backbone of the electric grid. Our work includes new construction, line upgrades and critical maintenance, executed with high standards of safety, quality and performance.
What You'll Do- Provide technical supervision and oversee the quality of team deliverables
- Ensure compliance by staying current with codes and standards
- Plan/coordinate pole loading
- Define plan of control
- Direct/supervise junior engineers
- Provide detailed engineering, design and planning assessments and recommendations
- Evaluate system operations and develop project scope for overhead and underground utility systems
- Plan, develop and coordinate engineering studies on projects with complex solutions addressing system risk, reliability and capacity
- Additional duties as needed and/or assigned
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Structural, Mechanical or Civil Engineering
- 10+ years of industry experience
- Knowledge of various codes and standards
- Ability to make sound business and financial judgments and quick decisions
- Understanding of engineering theories and principles, including evaluating alternatives and presenting recommendations
- Capable of managing and prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously
