Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med Surg position working night shifts, requiring a ME or compact RN license and prior med/surg experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Medical Surgical Care unit in a hospital setting

• Night shift schedule: 7:00 pm to 7:30 am

• Three 12-hour shifts per week for a total of 36 hours

• No call required

• Every other weekend required

• Handles adult med/surg and med/surg ortho cases

• Block scheduling is not available

• Work as part of an established medical surgical team

• Focus on care for adult medical and orthopedic patients

• No COVID-19 vaccine required for this position

• First-time travelers will be considered

Requirements

• Active ME or compact RN license

• Minimum of 3 years of recent medical surgical nursing experience

• Current BLS/BCLS certification required

• ACLS certification required

• Telemetry experience preferred

• Flu vaccine required per Maine state mandate
