Travel Nurse Source  is working with United Health Care Staffing, Inc. to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in York, Maine, 03909!

Location: York, ME

Start Date: 04-27-2026

End Date: 07-27-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 3x12-hour day shifts per week, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM; every other weekend (day shift); may require variable day shifts; no call

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Provide expert critical care nursing for adult ICU patients, monitoring and responding to changes in condition
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Operate and manage advanced critical care equipment, including ventilators and hemodynamic monitors
  • Perform thorough assessments, document accurately in the medical record, and communicate findings promptly
  • Deliver compassionate patient and family education and emotional support during critical moments
  • Contribute to unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
Qualifications
  • Active Maine RN license required
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Experience working in an ICU or critical care setting (ICU nursing / critical care experience preferred)
  • Influenza vaccination mandated by the State of Maine
  • Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and every other weekend as scheduled
Knowledge & Skills
  • Strong knowledge of critical care principles and interventions
  • Proficiency with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
  • Skilled in rapid assessment, prioritization, and clinical decision-making
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills in high-acuity environments
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation best practices
  • Commitment to infection control and patient safety standards
