Overview
Registered Nurse, Case Management | York, Maine, United States. This travel temporary assignment starts 07/27/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $2,218 to $2,260 with guaranteed 40 hours per week. Shifts are either 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. or four 10‑hour shifts from 7:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; there is no on‑call, but weekend and holiday rotation is required. Setting: hospital.

- Conduct assessments of patient needs, identify resources required to transition to the next setting, and secure those resources.
- Coordinate concurrent utilization management activities, serving as the main link between the patient, care team, organization, and payors during the hospital stay.
- Lead, educate, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team during daily rounds, care conferences, and care planning.
- Communicate effectively in writing, verbally, and via electronic systems and applications used in patient care.
- Partner with community organizations to secure durable medical equipment, health insurance authorizations, and transportation.
- Participate in length of stay management for the inpatient population.
- Apply knowledge of hospital reimbursement methods and quality measures relevant to care management.
- Active Registered Nurse license;
Associate or Bachelor degree‑prepared. - 3–5 years of clinical experience in medical/surgical nursing, home care, hospital case management, and/or prior utilization review experience.
- Utilization review and discharge planning experience.
- Certification by a nationally recognized case management or utilization review organization preferred; CCM or ACM preferred.
- BLS certification mandatory.
- 40‑hour guaranteed work week for the duration of the assignment.
- Travel assignment with 13‑week duration.
- No on‑call requirement; weekend and holiday rotation included.
- Professional collaboration within a hospital care management team.
- Supportive care coordination responsibilities with multidisciplinary involvement.
- Access to ongoing assignment support during the engagement.
