Registered Nurse - Emergency Department in York, Maine. Start date 08/10/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment. Earn $1,964-$2,005 per week with 36 guaranteed hours. Work on a 3x12 rotating schedule (times may vary: 7:00 am–7:30 pm; 11:00 am–11:30 pm) in a hospital-based ED setting. This position requires an active Maine RN license and current BLS/ACLS, with PALS preferred. No on-call duties are required, and prior charge experience or precepting experience is a plus but not mandatory.

Hospital-based Emergency Department
- Provide direct, patient-centered care to a diverse ED population, including assessment, monitoring, and treatment of acutely ill and injured patients
- Perform triage, rapid assessment, and ongoing surveillance of patient status; administer medications and therapies per orders
- Collaborate with ED physicians, nurses, and support staff to coordinate timely bloodwork, imaging, procedures, and dispositions
- Communicate clearly with patients and families; document care accurately and maintain patient safety and infection control standards
- Assume charge nurse responsibilities and/or serve as a preceptor when assigned; participate in hand-offs and care transitions
- Maintain readiness for rapid response and resuscitation scenarios, while adhering to department policies and evidence-based practice
- No on-call duties required for this assignment
- Active registered nurse license in the State of Maine
- BLS and ACLS certification required; PALS certification preferred
- Prior ER nursing experience; travel experience and charge/preceptor experience preferred but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity ED environment
- Capability to work 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule and adapt to census fluctuations
- Assignment-specific credentialing and onboarding assistance
- Dedicated recruiter and ongoing assignment support
- General travel nurse support to address needs during the assignment
- Opportunities for extension based on performance and facility needs
