We are seeking a Cath Lab RN to join our Cath Lab Team!
The Cath Lab Nurse is a professional Registered Nurse who is accountable for the delivery of quality patient care. Primary responsibilities include:
Functions independently in the Cath Lab while using professional judgment in performance of all services. Keeps patients safe and calm while assisting physician/providers in all procedures performed in the Cardiac Cath Lab. Accurately and promptly implements physician/provider's orders. Circulates and records all cases done in the Lab and helps to recover patients. Acts in compliance with hospital policies/procedures. Provides care to patients in a calm, efficient manner.
- Required tocirculate and monitor patients in the Cath Lab with knowledge of sterile technique
- Knowledge of coronary and peripheral anatomy and vasculature
- Knowledge hemodynamic monitoring (venous and arterial)
- Required to take “on call”
Education requirements: RN program completion required; BSN or enrollment in BSN program preferred
Experience: 1 – 2 years nursing experience in practice setting in either Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology setting, will train to opposite competency
Licensure:Current licensure in the State of Maine as a Registered Nurse or Compact Licensure. Must be in good standing with the Board of Nursing.
Certification:
- BLS within 120 days of hire, and maintain while in position
- ACLS within 1 year of hire, and maintain while in position
