Job Summary
Global Partners is looking for a Food Service Supervisor/Deli Lead. The supervisor will direct and supervise all activities in the deli and food service department, ensuring merchandising, sales and guest service goals are met.
Responsibilities- Direct department personnel, meet departmental goals and objectives, and communicate directly with store management and department supervisors.
- Select, onboard, and coach all new team members.
- Schedule all team members.
- Offer product information, provide selling suggestions and active sampling, and give a genuine thank you.
- Take guest orders, ensuring they are completed on time and to the guest's satisfaction.
- Ensure personnel follow all county, city and company food safety and sanitation guidelines and policies.
- Order products and supplies to maintain adequate stock levels and merchandising standards.
- Oversee preparation and serving/merchandising of deli and food service items, including breakfast, lunch, dinner entrees, fried foods, pizzas, prepared salads, soups, sandwiches, roller grill items, hot and cold beverages, and snack items.
- Display items following department and/or company merchandising guidelines.
- Follow product recipes without deviation.
- Rotate deli/food service items for sale, ensuring quality, safety and product shrink control.
- Receive merchandise for sale and supplies, audit invoices, break down orders, and position cases in deli storage, refrigerated walk‑in coolers, or frozen walk‑in freezers.
- Periodically count product for inventory purposes.
- Complete all paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
- Process cash register transactions, give back change, and provide refunds.
- Use scale printer machine to ensure weights and pricing are correct.
- Monitor product pricing, signage, placement, shelf tags and signage.
- Keep sales counters, food prep areas, warehouse shelving, walk‑in coolers and freezers clean and orderly.
- Ensure all personnel use proper safety equipment and procedures.
- Perform other duties as needed or assigned by management.
- Work with deli ingredients including various meat items, vegetables, fruits, spices, nuts, flavorings, sauces and oils.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least 18 years old.
- Minimum 2 years of prior experience in a fresh food environment, preferably in a managerial role.
- Reliably transportable with an active driver’s license.
- Serv‑Safe certification preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Experience working in walk‑in coolers and freezers, standing for extended periods, bending and twisting below waist, and maneuvering merchandise.
- Dexterity in using equipment such as knives, slicers, burners, ovens, fryers and rotisseries.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, evening shifts and assist other locations as needed.
$17.28 - $20.49 per hour. The final amount offered at the start of employment is based on experience level, skills, location and may be modified by the company.
