Security Clearance: None/Not Required

• Perform machine setup and runs on surface grinders and mills
• Read, interpret and comprehend, process prints, engineering and quality standards, and other informational drawings and work instructions
• Monitor tooling for wear and usage, changing and setting tools as needed
• Monitor part-specific dimensional tolerances while performing the operation and identify non-conforming part features
• Maintain accurate documentation and system inputs (shop traveler, labor charging, production tracking software, inspection results, etc.)
• Identify and report process inefficiencies, machine issues, and improvement opportunities
• Follow work priorities to accomplish production goals
• Handle contact with coolants, cleaning fluids, oils (petroleum-based products) and chemical vapors from products during normal manufacturing
• Obtain and maintain required Inspection Certification(s)
• Additional responsibilities and duties as assigned
• 3rd shift:
  Sunday – Thursday, 11:00 pm – 07:00 am

• Precision surface grinding and other CNC equipment operation as required
• Cross-functional collaboration through various types of manufacturing processes
• Gain experience with inspection equipment

• Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. GED) or vocational/technical education in related discipline
• Basic math skills, including adding and subtracting decimals
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn and use multiple computer applications (including email, internet, and other job-specific applications)
• Experience with measurement equipment, i.e. gauges, calipers, etc.
• Experience with basic hand tools
• Experience reading, interpreting, and following blueprints

• Experience setting up and operating CNC mills and grinders
• Experience maintaining tight tolerances
