The Charge Nurse serves as a clinical leader on the unit, overseeing daily operations, supporting staff, and ensuring safe, high-quality patient care. This role blends direct patient care with leadership responsibilities to guide and mentor the care team.

• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process
• Coordinate and oversee unit workflow, staffing, and patient assignments
• Serve as a resource and mentor for nursing staff
• Ensure high standards of patient safety, care quality, and compliance
• Communicate and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Support and guide staff in prioritization and clinical decision-making
• Assist with patient and family education and discharge planning
• Monitor patient progress and ensure accurate documentation

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
• Prior acute care experience required; leadership or charge experience preferred
• Strong communication, decision-making, and organizational skills
• Ability to lead, support, and collaborate with a team
