Job Title: Emergency Department Physician Assistant – Regular Part Time (RPT)

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Emergency Department team. In this fast‑paced role, you will provide critical care to patients of all ages, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure excellent patient outcomes.

What You’ll Do:

• Perform comprehensive medical screening exams on patients of all ages.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Prescribe medications and initiate appropriate therapies.
• Provide wound care including suturing, incision and drainage, and splinting.
• Manage minor orthopedic emergencies such as joint dislocations and fractures.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff in patient care.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and follow‑up care.
• Admit patients requiring inpatient care and coordinate specialty referrals as needed.

What You Need:

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree from an ARC‑PA accredited PA program.
• Current licensure as a Physician Assistant in the state of Nebraska.
• Current NCCPA certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Certification in either NRP or PALS.
• Proof of having "monitored" an Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) course (required for Emergency Department coverage).
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Physician Assistant in an acute care setting.
