Registered Nurse – York and Tecumseh (Evergreen)

Starting wage: $50,000 per hour.
- $3 facility differential for hours worked
- $1.50–$2.50 shift differential

ResponsibilitiesUnder limited supervision of a Nursing Director/Associate or Nurse Supervisor, provide professional nursing care for ill, injured, or disabled inmates, including:
- Clinical direction and guidance to Licensed Practical Nurses and direct care staff.
- Direct patient nursing care and treatment within the scope of licensure in a correctional setting.
- Perform patient care in a clinic or hospital setting.
- Administer medications, transcribe and carry out doctors' orders, assess patients utilizing protocols, triage.
- Assist in moving patients.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current license in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in Nebraska (or validity under Nurse Licensure Compact).
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with assistance.
- Must complete four to eight weeks of on-the-job training.
- Must submit to a background security check.
- Must pass pre-employment medical examination and drug test.
- Must successfully complete the fully paid Nebraska Department of Correctional Services' Pre-service Training Program at the Staff Training Academy.

- Experience in assigning, reviewing, leading, or supervising the work of others.
