Corteva Agriscience has an exciting opportunity for a Field Testing Specialist based in York, Nebraska.
The Field Testing Specialist position will serve as an integral team member of a comprehensive research station providing support for all station operations. The ideal candidate must have knowledge and experience about the agriculture industry and a high aptitude for attention to detail.
- Support the York Research Center operations with multi crop seed filling, seed preparation and data collection.
- Skilled in operating planting, harvesting, and spray equipment as well as specialized remote sensing equipment.
- Agronomic knowledge of weed control and plot maintenance.
- Collect and assess data quality.
- Assist with experiment planning and mapping.
- Supervise part‑time employee crews to complete field activities according to protocols.
- Availability for overtime during peak seasons of planting and harvest.
- 100% site dedicated position.
- Bachelor or Associate degree in agriculture or a scientific related field plus 2-4 years industry related experience.
- Keen knowledge of agronomy, crop production, plant development, and experimental field plot design.
- Strong attention to detail in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent communication and personal interaction skills to foster teamwork, enhance a positive work environment, and effectively develop strong internal and external working relationships with a diverse group of people.
- Experience and skills with computers and data management.
- Experience operating planting and harvest equipment including electronics, GPS systems and data collection systems.
- Leadership, operational safety, supervision, and time‑management skills.
- Must be capable of working in varying ergonomic and environmental conditions for extended periods of time.
- Ability to obtain appropriate pesticide applicator license or certification.
- Valid driver’s license required.
