Roofing Service Technician

Job Overview

Conner Roofing is seeking a dependable, skilled Roofing Service Technician to join our close-knit team in York, NE. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on, problem‑solving work in a steady, local service area – no sales pressure, just honest roofing service. You’ll handle roof repairs, leak diagnostics, maintenance, and punch‑list work on residential and commercial roofs.

• Perform roof repairs on shingle, metal, and flat/low‑slope (BUR) systems.
• Diagnose and repair roof leaks with precision.
• Complete service calls, warranty work, and roof maintenance tasks.
• Replace vents, flashing, pipe boots, and small roof sections.
• Conduct inspections and document findings.
• Flash around new HVAC units, skylights, and repair seams.
• Inspect and maintain roof drains and scuppers.
• Maintain clean and professional job sites.
• Communicate effectively with customers and the office team.
• Use company tools and materials responsibly.

• Roofing or general construction experience preferred.
• Comfortable working safely on various roof types.
• Solid understanding of roofing systems and components.
• Strong attention to detail and workmanship.
• Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in all seasons.
• Own personal hand tools.
• Skilled in flashing and detail roof work preferred.

$22.00 – $25.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Paid time off and paid holidays.

Company truck for work use (if applicable).

Steady, local work – home most nights.

Pathway for advancement to Lead Technician or Foreman role.

Monday–Friday, typical 8‑hour shift, overtime as needed during peak seasons.

Based in York, NE – local service area only, minimal travel, home most nights.
