Position: Accounting Staff

GENERAL FUNCTION

We are looking for a diligent and independent individual to join our accounting department. Responsibilities include data entry for vendor, subcontractor, and equipment transactions, as well as processing daily bank deposits. You will support the CFO and accounting department with the monthly close process.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Receive and match delivery tickets and purchase orders to invoices. Verify subcontractor invoices with contracts. Sort, review, and code vendor and subcontractor invoices for Viewpoint Vista data entry.
  • Prepare, scan, and input invoices into Viewpoint for proper approval. Speed and accuracy is a must.
  • Process and reconcile company credit card receipts.
  • Issue petty cash checks and manage supporting documentation for all disbursements.
  • Manage inventory slip processing and approval with project managers and process in Viewpoint.
  • Input fuel to equipment module from A/P invoices.
  • Daily Bank Deposits.
  • Support the Accounting Department with monthly & annual close processes and assist with various projects as determined by the CFO.
  • Cross-train with senior accounting staff.
  • RELATIONSHIPS
  • Reports to CFO.
  • Works directly with Senior accounting staff.
  • Interacts with Accounting, Shop, Tool Room, Administrative Staff, Project Managers, and Field Personnel.
  • KNOWLEDGE/ SKILL/ EXPERIENCE/ REQUIREMENTS
  • A bachelor or associate degree in accounting is required. Experience in the construction industry and Vista Viewpoint software experience is a plus.
  • Must have people skills to effectively interact with all levels of personnel including field, office, project management, & executive management.
  • Must be detail-oriented, accurate, and able to process large volumes of data entry.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Strong computer skills, and good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel as well as other Microsoft office products.
  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ CONDITIONS REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to work additional hours and flex hours as necessary.
  • Ability to operate calculator, computer keyboard, printer, fax machine, copy machine, and telephone.
