Join the Dauphin County Assistance Office as a Clerical Assistant 2 and become part of a team that helps people across the community. Responsibilities- Data Entry:
Input information into automated systems with accuracy. - Information Retrieval:
Access computer applications to find necessary details. - Record Management:
File, organize, and maintain case documents. - Public Interaction:
Handle phone calls and in person contacts professionally. - Mail Processing:
Sort and distribute mail, messages, and printouts appropriately. - Team Communication:
Share updates and discuss procedures with supervisors.
- Full‑time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 1‑hour lunch.

- Work Conditions:
Assigned duties are performed in a controlled office environment. Employees may be reassigned to different work sites due to operational needs. - Telework:
This position may be eligible for part‑time telework. Specific details of the telework schedule will be discussed during the interview process. Telework is subject to change at any time. - Salary:
Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting salary of $36,108.00 (before taxes).
- Minimum Experience:
Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or equivalent combination of experience and training. - Graduation from high school.
- Other requirements: A conditional offer of employment will require submission of criminal history reports and a background investigation.

- Hiring preference will be given to candidates who live within Cambria County. If no eligible candidates from Cambria County apply, candidates from other counties may be considered.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
