Administrative Assistant for Facilities
Hours of Position: 8:00 a.m.
- 4:00 p.m. Monday-Friday
Qualifications:
- High School diploma required; supplementary training or coursework in office administration, business, or a related field preferred
- Prior experience in an office setting required; experience in a school district, municipal, or similarly complex public-sector environment strongly preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace required; experience with facility scheduling software, financial processing systems, or similar platforms preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities accurately and independently, with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail, particularly in financial record-keeping, compliance documentation, and data entry
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally - in writing and in person - with a wide range of stakeholders, including district staff, contractors, community members, and the general public
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift quickly and discretion is essential
- Valid Driver's License
Reports To:
Director of Facilities
Goals:
To ensure the prompt, accurate, and efficient handling of all administrative and clerical matters relating to the Facilities Department and its operations.
Terms of Employment:
This is a 12-month, first shift, 7.5-hour, 254 workday, unionized position. The pay range for this position is $19.13- $22.73, as outlined in the SS2 Administrative Assistant matrix. Hourly rate, work schedule, and other conditions of employment in accordance with the York Suburban Education Association negotiated agreement.
