Operations Management, Office Administrator/ Coordinator
As a Corrections Employment and Vocational Assistant with the Department of Corrections (DOC) at the State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Mercer, you will take an active role in moving inmate employment activities forward. This position brings steady variety and keeps you engaged with many different tasks throughout the day. You will grow your skills while helping important processes stay organized and on track.

- Data Entry: Enter work assignments, class enrollments, and participation updates into required systems
- Record Tracking: Maintain information for identification documents, applications, and employment history
- File Management: Prepare, update, and organize inmate employment files, questionnaires, and waiting lists
- Staff Communication: Communicate with work supervisors regarding hires, payroll, progress reports, and job changes
- Inmate Transition: Close out departing inmate records and assist with Inmate Idleness Committee Meetings
- Audit Assistance: Assist with audits and verify information for accuracy and completeness
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch
- Telework:You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Three years of clerical experience; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- You must pass a background investigation and meet CJIS compliance requirements.
