Construction Laborer

We are seeking dedicated Construction General Laborers to support a thriving civil contractor specializing in underground pipe laying and site preparation for new construction projects. This position offers a contract-to-hire opportunity with consistent work throughout Central PA.

• Assist crews with underground utility installation, including pipe laying, trenching, and grading support.
• Perform general site preparation for commercial and civil construction projects.
• Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment.
• Support operators and skilled trades on active job sites.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Follow all company and OSHA safety protocols.

• Minimum of 1+ year of construction labor experience, with a preference for civil/site work.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as digging trenches and breaking large stones.
• Reliable transportation to report to the shop in York, PA or directly to job sites based on location.

• Proficiency with general labor tasks, including hand tool usage, digging holes, and trenches.

The role is primarily based at outdoor construction sites in varying weather conditions, requiring physical, hands-on work including standing, lifting, and working in trenches or uneven terrain. Projects are located within approximately a one-hour radius of York, PA, with core project locations in York, Carlisle, and upcoming work in Lancaster. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM until finish, with automatic overtime on Saturdays and double time on Sundays.

Weekend work is limited but available based on project needs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of York, PA.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $35.00/hr.
