Hours:
8 hours per week | Part-time | Starting 21 July 2026
- 8:45 am – 12:45 pm, 2 days per week
- Fixed term position during term time only ending 30 August 2026
- Passion for Playcentre philosophy and empowering whānau
- Course 3 of the Playcentre Education Diploma or equivalent ECE Qualification Level 4+
- Current First Aid Certificate or willingness to complete
- Confidence using technology to support learning & administration
- Strong knowledge of Te Whāriki, ECE regulations, and a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi
- Permanent NZ work rights and NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa
The Role
The Session Facilitator works alongside our members and tamariki to guide session activities, facilitate learning using child-led play and positive guidance, support planning and assessment for learning and positively support the Playcentre education programme.
Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To- Engage children in playful, stimulating, and imaginative experiences that encourage exploration, problem‑solving, and independence.
- Foster strong, responsive relationships with tamariki, recognising their individual strengths, interests, and cultural diversity.
- Promote inclusive learning by encouraging communication, expression, and the development of positive learning dispositions.
