Marching Band Assistant

York Suburban School District is actively seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Marching Band Assistants for the  season, with a specific focus on Color Guard.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience teaching or coaching marching band techniques (preferred).
• Knowledge of music theory, marching band repertoire, and/or drill design (preferred).
• Experience participating in or assisting with a marching band program, either as a student or staff member.
• Proficiency in playing a musical instrument or performing color guard work, preferably one commonly found in marching bands (e.g., trumpet, clarinet, percussion).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with students, staff, and community members.
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and schedules, particularly during the marching season.
• A passion for music education and a commitment to fostering the growth and development of young musicians.

Marching Band Director/Principal

Terms Of Employment:
Annual salary, work schedule and other conditions of employment in accordance with the York Suburban Education Association negotiated agreement.
