Job Title
The Dallastown Area School District is seeking to fill two (2) Part-Time, 10-Month Classroom Paraprofessional positions at Leader Heights Elementary School beginning the start of the school year.
The ideal candidate will play a valuable role in inspiring and creating pathways for student success by supporting classroom teachers in the delivery of supports and services to students. Work hours will be 8:30a.m.
- 2:30p.m. or 9:00a.m.
- 3:00p.m. Work schedule / pay periods for 10-month position: work hours will be as indicated above which will be 5.50 working hours with a 30-minute unpaid lunch. Your work schedule will follow student attendance full and half days during the school year -- approximately 177 student days mid-August through early June. Additional days may be arranged by your supervisor. While there are typically no pay periods July through August, you will enjoy summer off to spend more time with your family For a full school year, your bi-weekly pays will typically begin by mid-September and continue through late June.

Library and Classroom Paraprofessionals - High school diploma or GED equivalent Child-centered, warm, and receptive to children Ability to carry out oral and written communications/instructions and work cooperatively with others Acceptable record of attendance
Working one-on-one or with small groups of students as directed by administration, reading specialists, and teachers Aiding in supervision of students in both the classroom, playground and the cafeteria Assisting teachers in presentation and development of learning materials and instructional exercises Performing routine clerical work Working with instructional media, office machines, and equipment Dallastown Area School District is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
