Electrical Engineer – Industrial Systems

Overview

Sciotex is looking for a motivated, and creative individual to fill an opening for an Electrical / Electronics Control Engineer.

Sciotex is an advanced engineering firm specializing in automation systems, computer vision, robotics and ATE systems. This position requires physical work at our small fabrication shop located in Newtown Square, PA. This position also has remote and flexible schedule options depending on the type of work being performed.

• Electrical design using Solid Works / AutoCAD.
• Assemble and wire control panels and their components using a combination of external resources and in-house tools in our shop.
• Program PLCs, HMIs, robotics and software systems.
• Experience with LabVIEW, C, Python, VB is required.
• Work on projects for industrial or scientific clients, typically including control panels, PLCs, motion control, sensors and robotics.
• Develop sub-systems that can be integrated into larger manufacturing capabilities or designed as standalone systems.
• Collaborate on design, development and deployment of solutions with software, computer vision and mechatronics engineers.

• BS or MS in engineering or systems development preferred.
• Strong design experience with Solid Works and/or AutoCAD is required.
• Ability to write code (LabVIEW / C / Python / PLC) is required.
• Interest in AI systems is helpful.
• Demonstrated teamwork, problem solving, and a strong work ethic with a desire to work on full-cycle projects.

The position is based in our office in Newtown Square, PA. It requires hands-on work with equipment in our fabrication shop. Remote and flexible scheduling options are available depending on the type of work performed.
