Cost Engineer​/Manager

Haalufa USA, Inc., is seeking to fill a Sr. Cost Engineer position to work with our client in Western Pennsylvania, and Washington, DC. The Cost Engineer will assist and support the project team on large or multiple small/medium-size projects. The position requires business management acumen and must demonstrate strong leadership, organizational and time management skills, as well as have strong communication and client service skills.

This role will be responsible for finding the optimum balance between costs, quality and time in order to achieve the maximum potential profit for every single project. You will need to understanding estimating, cost controls and EVMS skills and knowledge to be successful in this position.

What You’ll Do:

• Leads cost management on large projects;
• Corrects non-compliance issues;
• Formulates cost management action plan;
• Maintains standard templates and reports;
• Leads PSR/Cost Review Meetings;
• Reports cost metrics/risk issues;

We’re Looking For:

• Computer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft Office products;
• Understand CPI, SPI, TCPI and how they are calculated;
• Knowledge of cost core standards;
• Strong written and verbal communication skills;
• Good math/accounting skills;
• Functions effectively as part of a team;
• Dependability;
• Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times;
• Ability to develop or maintain relationships with clients;
• Exhibits strong leadership qualities;
• Excellent time management and organizational skills;
• Strong decision making/problem solving skills;
• Seeks new knowledge/experience;
• Bachelors Degree – Business Management, Engineering or equivalent
• 7+ years of experience.

The salary for this role will be based on the experience, education, and skill set of the individual for the position. Total compensation and benefits consist of salary, group health plan benefits, 401(K), profit-sharing contributions, and flexible time off.
