Job Description & How to Apply Below
Job Description:
We are an established architecture and engineering practice looking for a talented Structural Engineer to join our team. You'll work across a diverse portfolio of projects - leading design efforts from schematic through to construction administration, collaborating with architects, clients, and contractors, and mentoring the next generation of engineers around you. This is a role for someone who takes pride in their craft, thrives on variety, and wants to make a real impact on the projects they touch.
The Role
You'll own structural design across multiple concurrent projects, taking designs through every phase - from early studies and schematic design through to construction documents, shop drawing reviews, and site inspections. You'll coordinate across internal disciplines including MEP, interface directly with clients, and lead your project teams with confidence.
What You'll Do
- Lead structural design across all project phases - schematic, design development, and construction documentation
- Perform IBC code reviews and establish project-specific design criteria
- Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, and internal engineering disciplines
- Oversee drawing production, specifications, and AIA Masterspec documentation
- Manage construction administration - RFIs, submittals, and site inspections
- Conduct field surveys and site evaluations
- Manage project budgets and schedules across multiple simultaneous projects
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to a strong engineering culture
Must-haves:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license - non-negotiable
- 4-6 years of structural engineering experience
- Proficiency in Revit - required
- Strong technical writing and communication skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Comfortable working remotely while staying closely connected with your team
- Experience with design and project management documentation tools
- Familiarity with AIA Masterspec preparation and estimates
No relocation assistance or visa sponsorship is available for this position.
This is a role for an engineer who is ready to step into a leadership position, take genuine ownership of their projects, and grow within a team that values quality, collaboration, and technical excellence. If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.
