Electrical Designer Details:
- Direct hire position
- $ 80,000.00 to $ 85,000.00 / annually
- First shift (Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 05:00pm)
Job description:
The Electrical Designer will work closely with the Electrical Drafter(s), Controls Engineer(s), and Management to detail new equipment as well as existing equipment for both custom and standard products is fully functional.
Responsibilities:
- Detail electrical sensors for conveyors and equipment using company standards and direction from engineers and management
- Produce wiring diagrams, panel and electrical assemblies, and arrangement drawings required for cable fabrication.
- Assist in maintaining the project schedule through communication, prioritizing activities, and resolving problems as they arise
- Use technical skills to solve design problems
- Complete assignments in allotted timeframe with minimal supervision
- Identify purchased materials and create purchase requisitions
Electrical Designer
Qualifications:
- AS degree in Drafting/Engineering discipline or 3 years of relevant experience
- Experience with Solid Works - school training acceptable
- Experience with AutoCAD Electrical – school training acceptable
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products
- Willingness to learn about food processing equipment and design – will train.
- Sanitary design knowledge or experience preferred – will train.
- Must be self-motivated
- Enthusiasm for electrical design
- Works well as part of a team
- Can also work independently with minimal direction
- Highly accountable: "owns" successes and mistakes
- Can accept and learn from constructive criticism
- Strong desire to learn
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
