DESCRIPTIONOF WORK
This position plays an important role in supporting financial operations that help children and families of Monroe County receive timely services. As a Fiscal Technician, you will perform the following duties:
- Invoice Auditing:
Review and verify daily invoices for accuracy and proper coding. - Data Entry:
Input financial information into the Child Accounting Profile System for processing. - Payment Processing:
Handle monthly payments for foster care, adoption subsidies, and staff mileage. - Report Preparation:
Compile quarterly and annual financial reports for agency requirements. - Account Monitoring:
Track unpaid invoices, petty cash, escrow accounts, and clothing allowances. - Vendor Coordination:
Maintain vendor records and follow up on past due statements.
- Full-time employment.
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday‑Friday, with a 30‑minute lunch break.
- Telework:
You will not have the option to telework in this position. - Salary:

- One year as a Fiscal Assistant; or
- Three years of work involving the maintenance of fiscal or financial records, including one year of responsible work which involves the application of accounting or fiscal principles and practices; and graduation from high school; or
- One year of experience in maintaining and reviewing fiscal records and an associate degree in accounting or business administration; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
- You must meet the PA residency requirement.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
