CNC Operator

Overview

Consider joining the Pennex family as a CNC Operator at our York, PA location. The CNC Operator is responsible for CNC operation and fabrication production in order to meet customer requirements.

Must be able to work:

2nd shift 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, M-F.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Operates CNC equipment within the fabrication shop.

* Performs set-up of CNC equipment.

* Advises supervisor of any new tooling needed for new programs.

* Performs proper care and basic maintenance of tooling and equipment.

* Performs operation of additional production equipment as necessary.

* Maintains good housekeeping and follows safety procedures.

* Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Education

* High school diploma or equivalent education.

Experience

* Requires previous experience with CNC Programming software.

* Emmegi & Haas experience preferred

Other Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

* A desire to work in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment.

* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

* Flexible and driven to meet tight deadlines, handle multiple projects and prioritize them appropriately.

* Ability to read blueprints.

* Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.

* Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.

* Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance.

* Ability to apply understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

* Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

* Must have regular attendance.

* Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.

* Must be eligible to work in the United States, visa sponsor ships are not available.

Physical

* The employee is regularly required to stand.

* The employee is frequently required to walk; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.

* The employee is occasionally required to sit and use hands.

* The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

* Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.

Work Environment

* The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; fumes or airborne particles and extreme heat.

* The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
