Job DescriptionThis role oversees and is responsible for prompt and efficient service to our customers, maintains an acceptable degree of profitability for our company and utilizes the workforce in a manner within customer specifications.
Primary Responsibilities- Will travel to different sites throughout the US for a few days at a time to understand the business, train and onboard (will work remotely when not traveling to sites).
- In the future, will be required to relocate to an assigned site determined by leadership.
- Implementing and coordinating training and safety objectives.
- Establishing and meeting production and financial goals.
- Scheduling of plant personnel.
- Maintaining clear dialogue with the customer to determine customer needs and services required.
- Developing a financial plan that achieves company and plant goals, developing a capital budget.
- Administering discipline concerning the violation of company rules and regulations.
- Overseeing plant purchasing, plant/equipment maintenance, and plant/equipment repairs and parts.
- Directing all workforce personnel and functions, maintaining and overseeing all daily operations of the plant, and direct and indirect supervision of all plant personnel and staff.
- Associate degree or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school.
- Minimum of 10 years progressive experience in a manufacturing environment with a strong focus on materials management, production, or engineering.
- Previous responsibilities of purchasing, producing, inventory control, production control, engineering, shipping, receiving, and warehousing.
- Three to five years experience managing staff.
- Previous experience with profit and loss responsibility.
- Working knowledge of contract administration and safety/environmental compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university.
- Experience in manufacturing, steel industry, or a similar environment.
- Proven track record of improving safety performance and goals.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
