Cnc Operator
Consider joining the Pennex family as a CNC Operator at our York, PA location. The CNC Operator is responsible for CNC operation and fabrication production in order to meet customer requirements.
Must be able to work:
2nd shift 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, M-F.
ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operates CNC equipment within the fabrication shop.
- Performs set-up of CNC equipment.
- Advises supervisor of any new tooling needed for new programs.
- Performs proper care and basic maintenance of tooling and equipment.
- Performs operation of additional production equipment as necessary.
- Maintains good housekeeping and follows safety procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
Experience:
- Requires previous experience with CNC Programming software.
- Emmegi & Haas experience preferred
Other Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- A desire to work in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Flexible and driven to meet tight deadlines, handle multiple projects and prioritize them appropriately.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
- Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance.
- Ability to apply understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Must have regular attendance.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States, visa sponsor ships are not available.

Physical
- The employee is regularly required to stand.
- The employee is frequently required to walk; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
- The employee is occasionally required to sit and use hands.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
Work Environment
- The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; fumes or airborne particles and extreme heat.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
