Welder and Fabricator

The Welder and Fabricator will read and interpret blueprints, lay out materials, fabricate components to specification, and weld assemblies for a wide range of custom projects. Work includes structural steel, miscellaneous metals, concrete forms, and ornamental iron, with welding and fabrication methods varying by project in a dynamic fabrication job shop environment.

First Shift: 5 am - 1:30 pm, when running OT hours are 5 am - 3:30 pm

Pay: $25-$35/hr depending on experience and weld test

• Read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols to understand project requirements and specifications.
• Lay out, fit, and assemble metal components and structures in accordance with prints and shop drawings.
• Perform welding using MIG, Flux Core, and TIG processes, as required by each project.
• Fabricate parts to print, ensuring accuracy, proper dimensions, and high-quality workmanship.
• Set up and operate fabrication machinery such as press brakes, iron workers, and plasma tables to cut, form, and shape materials.
• Operate overhead cranes and forklifts to safely move materials, components, and finished assemblies within the shop.
• Grind, clean, and finish welds to meet quality and appearance standards.
• Assist in the paint area as needed, including preparing fabricated parts for finishing.
• Use measuring tools and equipment to verify dimensions and tolerances throughout the fabrication and welding process.
• Follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment while working with welding and fabrication equipment.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and complete projects on time.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tools, equipment, and workstations.

This is a Permanent position based out of York, PA.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
