Position: Mig-Welder/Fabricator

Overview:

PRT Staffing is seeking an experienced MIG Welder/Fabricator for a long-term career opportunity in York, PA. The position primarily involves MIG welding and metal fabrication, with experience in TIG, stick, or other welding processes considered a plus. The successful candidate will use specialized equipment to fabricate, assemble, repair, and modify metal components using a variety of metals and materials. The ideal candidate has at least five years of relevant experience, takes pride in producing quality work, and is seeking career stability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welding, Fabrication, Maintenance and Repair:
  Conduct precise welding and fabrication tasks, including tube and structural welding, to create, repair, modify, or reinforce metal structures.
• Read and Interpret blueprint, schematics, weld symbols and welding diagrams.
• Set up and adjust welding equipment for proper operation.
• Inspect finished welds for accuracy, quality and conformance with specifications.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals.
• Safety and Compliance:
  Strictly adhere to safety protocols, industry regulations, and quality standards under the guidance of your supervisor.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience:
  At least 5 years of MIG Welding Experience, additional experience with TIG and stick welding preferred.
• Core Skills:
  Proficiency in MIG welding, metal fabrication, measuring tools, and fitting and assembling components. Ability to work independently from blueprints and maintain consistent weld quality.
• Education:
  High School Diploma or GED required. Formal technical or apprenticeship training is desired.
• Physical Requirements:
  Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods of time.

Compensation:

• Hourly Pay: $21- $26, based on experience and qualifications
• Overtime Pay:
  Overtime is paid at 1.5x the hourly wage for any hours worked over 40 hours per week.
