Registered Nurse - Danville State Hospital; 2nd Shift; Shifts

THE POSITION
:
The Department of Human Services, Danville State Hospital provides dedicated, high-quality care to the people who call Danville State home. We are seeking hard‑working, enthusiastic, compassionate, and caring Registered Nurses who are committed to providing exceptional care to our consumers.

You will provide professional nursing care and treatment services. Duties include assessing patients’ physical, psychosocial, and/or mental health status; utilizing nursing diagnosis and treatment to develop and implement individual treatment plans; documenting the consumer’s psychiatric component of nursing care in correlation with treatment plan performance goals; and, as charge nurse, directing and coordinating nursing care delivery on an assigned unit using professional and psychiatric nursing concepts, techniques, and procedures in patient care.

• 2nd shift receives $1.25 / hour shift differential.
• Rotating schedule, work every other weekend, and holidays as assigned.
• New hires may be eligible for a $1,000.00 Retention Incentive Payment, provided all criteria outlined in the current Collective Bargaining Agreement are met.
• Schedule may change based on operational needs.

• Newly hired employees in Pennsylvania will begin at the starting annual salary of $88,130.00 (before taxes).

• Active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
• All employees with an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within one year, as defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
• PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
• If within 60 days of graduating from a school of nursing approved by the State Board of Nursing, you are eligible to apply; at appointment you must provide proof of a current, valid PA temporary practice permit or PA Registered Nurse license.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

• This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
