Weekend Coverage – Level I Trauma Hospital – Broad Surgical & Procedural Scope

Rhino Medical is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist for a locum tenens assignment supporting a high-acuity hospital in York, Pennsylvania. This opportunity involves providing anesthesia across a wide range of surgical and procedural cases including trauma, neuro/spine, cardiac, thoracic, vascular, OB/GYN, plastics, pediatrics, and robotics, in a Level I Trauma Center setting. The provider will work full-time weekends, delivering care on a 24-hour schedule with independent epidural capabilities and diverse anesthetic techniques.

For CRNAs with active PA licenses seeking a weekend focus at an established hospital environment, this assignment offers exposure to complex case mixes in a modern setting supported by Epic EMR.

  • No blocks; epidurals performed independently without doctor present
  • ACLS and PALS certifications required

Schedule & Coverage Details

  • Days:
    Friday, Saturday, Sunday
  • Shifts:

    07:00 – 19:00 (full 24-hour shifts on weekends)
  • Coverage:
    Full-time, 3 shifts per week
  • Duration:
    Ongoing, with start date 09/28 supported by up to 90-day credentialing, with expedited approval possible and availability of temps with clean files

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Delivery of anesthesia including MAC, GETA, regional, spinal, and US-guided techniques
  • Independent performance of epidurals with no doctor present
  • Management of anesthesia for trauma, neuro/spine, cardiac, thoracic, vascular, OB/GYN, general, GI, peds, plastics, ortho, and robotics procedures
  • Patient care across all ages in a high-acuity hospital setting
  • Documentation within Epic EMR

Candidate Requirements

  • Active PA license or recognized compact license in Pennsylvania
  • Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist credential (NCBORN)
  • ACLS and PALS certifications
  • Minimum of 2 years clinical experience preferred
  • DEA registration not required
