American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring a compact RN license or PA license, EPIC experience, and prior IR nursing background.

• Work in the Interventional Radiology unit of a hospital setting
• 13-week assignment with a day shift schedule (4x9.5 hours, 7:30 AM-5:00 PM)
• Monday through Friday schedule with no weekend requirements
• 1:1 patient ratio
• No call requirements
• Holiday coverage as needed
• No floating required
• May involve care of COVID-19 positive patients

• Active RN license (Compact) or PA license currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS required, PALS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of IR nursing experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required, with at least 1 year as a traveler preferred
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Trauma Level I hospital experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Skilled in IR procedures including angioplasty, vascular closure systems, sheath removal/monitoring, and procedural sedation monitoring
• Experience with vascular, gastrointestinal, pulmonary, genitourinary, and neurological IR studies and procedures preferred

• Provide direct nursing care in a fast-paced Interventional Radiology setting, including pre and post procedure care and special procedures
• Perform vascular studies and procedures such as angioplasty, central venous access, and upper/lower extremity angiography
• Support gastrointestinal interventional procedures including liver biopsy, paracentesis, and TIPS
• Assist with pulmonary interventional procedures including thoracentesis, chest tube placement, and pulmonary angiography
• Assist with genitourinary procedures including nephrostomy and renal angiography
• Participate in neurological procedures such as vertebroplasty
• Facility is tobacco and fragrance free
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius will be considered at a reduced rate
• Travel pairs accepted, though matched schedules cannot be guaranteed
