Surgical Nurse - Robotic and Trauma Experience Required

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day shift, 4x10 hour schedule from 07:00 AM to 05:30 PM.

The Surgical Nurse will provide exceptional nursing care within the operating room, specializing in robotic surgical procedures and trauma care. The candidate will be part of a fast-paced surgical team and must demonstrate proficiency in various surgical specialties including general, gynecological, urological, orthopedic, bariatric, ENT, plastics, vascular, thoracic (excluding cardiac), and trauma surgeries.

• Perform surgical nursing duties efficiently and safely in a high-volume operating room environment.
• Assist with robotic surgeries using the Da Vinci Xi and DV5 systems, functioning independently in all specialties.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, protocols, and quality standards.
• Participate in patient assessments and provide education to patients and families.
• Respond to emergent situations and be prepared for trauma cases.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and communicate effectively with the surgical team.

• Minimum of 3 years RN experience, with Level I trauma experience preferred.
• Prior travel nursing experience is required.
• Proficient in robotic surgical procedures and able to function independently in multiple surgical specialties.
• Current RN license, BLS certification required.
• Experience with Epic charting system is preferred.
